Vacation in San Diego

Live aboard a luxury sailboat and learn to sail in San Diego with SailTime, an American Sailing Association sailing school. Combine a vacation with a learning experience and enjoy San Diego in a nautical way.

No prior experience necessary. Spend five days or more, aboard one of our fully equipped SailTime luxury Hunter sailboats. We can begin with the basics or pick up wherever you left off and end your learning vacation with a certification that will allow you to charter the oceans of the world.

With our ASA certified instructors you will sail San Diego’s “Big Bay”, learn boat handling and docking, systems and navigation. You will provision and sail away for an overnight anchorage and upon completion of the ASA courses leave San Diego with the opportunity and experience to “Bareboat” charter with the required ASA 104 certification.

5 night/5-day - 101-103 & 104 Combo: Spend your nights on a luxury Hunter sailboat and your days with a professional ASA instructor from $1245 per person, all inclusive.

3 day - 101/103 - Ready to move to a bigger sailboat? Take the ASA 101/103 combination 3 day course, $745.00 per person, all inclusive

4 day - 103/104 - Looking to Bareboat charter and already ASA 101 certified? Take the American Sailing Association 103/104 combination class, $995.00 per person, all inclusive (class size limited to four students)

2 and 3 day individual courses: 101 or 103 or 104 - ASA 101, a 2 day introductory sailing course $395.00 per person, ASA 103, 2 days of lessons to prepare you to go cruising in local waters, $495 and ASA 104 $695 per person will have you operating a large cruising boat.

Stay aboard an extra night on the boat: from $230.00 per night.
